Atlas Obscura calls itself a "compendium of the world's wonders, curiosities and esoterica". The site itself is definitely wonderful and is a great resource of strange and interesting places and objects around the world.
Navigating Atlas Obscura is also a joy. The site can be navigated by category and by location and each curiosity has links to related wonders and to nearby places. Each of the site's listings includes a Google Map that shows the location of the listing and also includes markers of nearby curiosities.
