Using Google Maps from your Media Center and XBox360

Google Maps + Windows Media Center (and XBox 360)

Here's a great tip for browsing Google Maps from the comfort of your couch using the Microsoft Windows Media Center. Colin Savage picked up the Google Maps API and the Software Development Kit for the Media Center to create this page. Colin explains how to add the page to your own Media Center so you can use it to browse Google Maps:

To add to your Media Center simply add this file http://savage.org.za/GMAPMCE/gmap.mcl to your Media Center programs folder on the start menu (c:\documents and settings\all users\start menu\programs\accessories\media center\media center programs\) and it's available to use in MCE. On the web page use the arrow keys to move around and PgUp / PgDn to zoom. On MCE use the arrow buttons and CH [+][-]
