Google Maps has come of age in Europe with improved satellite imagery, geocoding, multi-language support and street maps. All of these improvements have set the stage for many new full-featured real estate maps mashups in this region. Our Spanish correspondent Luistxo writes about this trend here. Meanwhile, here are some new European Real Estate Google Maps mashups:
Spain: Revoluz - From the creators of
Panoramio (Joaquín Cuenca and Eduardo Manchón) comes this mashup of
Loquo.com (Spain's Craigslist) and Google Maps. A Spanish language site, It's very similar to Paul Rademacher's
HousingMaps.com in North America. It makes use of the new built in
geo-coder for the Google Maps API. Choose the city from the left to display results on the map.
UK: Nestoria - Nestoria aims to re-invent the way people search for propery by presenting as many homes from as many real estate agents as possible in a clear and concise manner. With some great GMaps design and some very easy to see pins, there are some neat features in this mashup; a tilt function for pins (when there's too many in the same spot) and a London Tube map overlay showing you where the tube lines are in conjunction with your property search results. You can overlay locations of schools (and pubs) to display more about the community, as well as view Flickr photos from that specific location.
Italy: Maiom.com - This Italian real estate mashup features RSS feeds, Google Earth, YouTube and Google Video integration. It has an interesting national to local zoom system and an easy AJAX forms search.
UK: Zoomf - This mashup lists houses and flats for sale and let in London only. I'm sure once the promised on-board geocoding arrives for the UK (Google claims it's close) then this site will expand UK-wide.
