Virtual Online Shopping with Google Maps Mashups

"Walk" down the UK's Top 5 Famous High Streets, Shops & Town Centres:

Superhighstreet.com is a new Google Maps based shopping site that lets you virtually browse the UK's top shopping streets. Its creator Christian Simpson has this to say about it: "..It offers interactive streetscape panoramas of famous shopping streets, along with a cool implementation of the Google Maps which shows a man walking down the road in time to you scrolling along the streetscape!" This site even has street sounds as you do your virtual shopping along with weather posted for that location. Here are the streets that are available to browse:

Portobello Road (central) - Notting Hill, London
George Street - Richmond Upon Thames, London

(Oxford Street and 5th Avenue for the US are said to be added soon)

Jargol.com + Google Maps = Cool City Shopping Maps - Jargol.com is an online shopping magazine maintaining a database of cool independent stores. This database has been mashed up and segmented by city with tags for each store to make for easier browsing. Here are some of the cities that are available: New York City, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Toronto (Check out all cities here). You can even search the database of cool independent stores by TAGS (Example: All sneaker shops)!
