Google Maps Street View adds 4 new cities! (Aug.7/07)

Google Maps Street View has been updated to include Orlando, Houston, Los Angeles and San Diego!

Cruise the shopping mecca of Rodeo Drive in LA!

Google Maps Street View lets you move virtually down city streets with the ability to pan 360 degrees to take in the streetscape around you. When I first blogged about Street View on May 29th the initial cities with these views available were the San Francisco Bay Area, New York City, Las Vegas, Denver and Miami. This new update brings the total number of US cities to 9. Google Maps Street View is not currently available outside the US. For links to interesting new views that are being found in this new imagery, check out some of the sites linked in my recent post: Ways to Find Cool Google Maps Street Views

To access Google Maps Street View, visit Google Maps, click the "Street View" button then choose a city with a camera icon. Now, just zoom in and explore the streets! For more info and a fun guided tour by the Street View guy himself, check out this short YouTube clip..
