World News Mashup: New York Times + Google Maps

Virender Ajmani, creator of the US News by zip code mashup brings us the new World News Mashup that combines many elements:

• RSS feeds from New York Times (current and archival)
• RSS feeds from HRW.org (Human Rights News)
• CIA World Factbook links
• Flickr Photo tags from each country
• Google Maps API
  

It pulls in news from the New York Times and Human Rights Watch for every country in the world and also provides links to the CIA World Factbook and Flickr photos. To make full use of this mashup, I would suggest registering for a free account with the New York Times website. You'll need to do some human sifting with this one as well. Virender's script pulls any story with that name in it and admittedly in most countries you'll be looking through holiday photos from Flickr.. But hey! - it's a mashup and it's fun to use!
